Vanhat tavarat ovat ankkureita omaan historiaan ja muistuttavat ja kertovat meille tarinoitaan ihmisistä ja tapahtumista.
Here are some pictures of very precious things. Some of them have accompanied me for many years and are dear memories from my childhood home:
The old tin with japanese motives which I adored as a little girl, a vase I had in our Lundby dollhouse, the dog made by my great-grandmother, the chinese tea-set (I liked it so much that I took it with me to the hospital when I was seven years old ...!), the easter bunny is at least 60 years old, the camel is a gift from my grandparents brought from Egypt in the 1960s and the doll was brought by dad from Poland in the 1970s.
My son draw the picture of Batman when he was 5-6 years old. Batman is in good company with the other hero: C.G. Mannerheim, president and commander-in-chief of the finnish army during World War II!
On my bedside table is a photo of me and my little sister from the 1960s and beside the photo are my mom's porcelain sheeps.
All these things reminds me and tells me stories of my past - they are like small anchors - pieniä ankkureita!
